If you do not have expert mode set in Preferences and you are in the file viewer and you type .xyz (assuming .xyz exists), the file view will change to the "expert mode" and will show all dot files and certain directories which are otherwise suppressed (e.g., bin, dev). My question is: is there anyway to restore the "non-expert" mode short of logging off and on?

I finally read the 2.0 documentation where it says quite clearly that to get back to the "non-expert" view you can either logoff/logon or execute the update viewers menu item. It works as advertised.

My question is: >is there anyway to restore the "non-expert" mode short of logging off and on? Just go click it in Preferences. It applies immediately to the browser view. But click it twice, because the .xyz hack does not toggle the flag in Preferences, so you have to turn Unix expert mode ON and then back OFF again.
