This is an acknowledgment, and a second call for responses, for NeXT enthusiasts interested in meeting one another at the upcoming UniForum and USENIX conferences in Dallas, Texas USA during the week of January 21, 1991. To date, the following individuals have indicated their interest in participating in a NeXT "Birds of a Feather" (BoF) meeting during these important conferences: Chuck Herrick <cnh5730@maraba.tamu.edu> Jay Finger <finger@evax.utarl.edu> Brian Bartholomew <bb@math.ufl.edu> Dirk Hardy <kti!dirk@blackbox.busl.com> Mahesh Subramanya <mahesh@numenor.next.nd.edu> Avie Tevanian <Avadis_Tevanian@NeXT.COM> A BoF is an informal gathering of people with a common interest, possibly with a presentation from one of the attendees, that meets on the "periphery" of a larger event such as USENIX or UniForum. I've been advised by Tom Bettes of NeXT (Austin, Texas) that NeXT will indeed have a booth at UniForum, and that there is a possibility that some key people from NeXT may be able to be present for the BoF meeting -- if there are enough interested people there! If you will be attending either USENIX or UniForum, in Dallas, during the week of January 21, and you would like to meet with other NeXT enthusiasts during this time, please send me a short note via e-mail. I'll summarize responses to the net. -- Chris Bradley | "Nothing is more certain than incertainties; Businessland Advanced Systems | Fortune is full of fresh variety: Dallas, Texas US | Constant in nothing but inconstancy." cbradley@busl.com | -- Richard Barnfield 1574-1627
