I am currently awaiting for the 040 upgrade for my next cube (which is presently configured with an OD and 40 meg accelerator drive). The accelerator drive locked me out of using the console from the workspace and from launching WriteNow! (indicating an "unexpected error"). The local BLand in Ft. Lauderdale has been real helpful in diagnosing the problem and have ordered a new drive. In the process of disovering the bad drive ,they replaced my logic board and all *8 megs of memory. The next rom chip on the new board was labeled as Version 1.1. The old rom was version 1.0. What's the difference? Also I have ordered a 105 meg hard disk with the upgrade. Is there any way of using the old 40 meg drive as a swap drive with the 105 drive (I have the old cube)? I am also in the process of organizing a NeXT user's group in Miami FL- so if interesed e-mail me. P.S. I just received Richard Crandall's "Mathematica for the Science text from Addison-Wesley (approx 300 pages) Looks great!! Thanks for any help-- Rob
