Hi, Just got my Fujitsu 2263SA drive in the mail (700 Meg, and $1416 I'll post about it when I get it running) and was looking through the techinal handbook when I saw a setup of SCSI devices where one drive (actually a chain of drives) was connected to TWO computers. It strikes me that if one had two NeXT's and the plan was to link them with an NFS, that if they were reasonably close (Say 4 meters apart) having both computers hooked to the same drive would eliminate the overhead for NFS -- and still give both machines access to the drive. There are certainly software problems involved, but for the time being I'm just curious if it is possible with the given hardware. If both SCSI controllers are mapped to SCSI address 0 then the connection is impossible. So... Can the SCSI device number of the NeXT controller be changed? -Chris
