[comp.sys.next] tip, cu, Terminal flow-control, kermit

geoff@circus.camex.com (Geoffrey Knauth) (01/23/91)

(Please e-mail direct if these are old questions.)

(1) I have a 68030, 1.0 cube. I seem to be able to run `cu', but not
`tip'. I've read the documentation, and don't see why `tip' should
keep saying things like "unknown host: tip2400". As far as I can
tell, I've made the right changes to /etc/remote.

(2) Using Terminal, I dial in to work, but in (remote) Emacs,
flow-control blocks my use of C-s. This doesn't happen if I use a
dumb terminal with my modem. Am I overlooking something obvious?

(3) I can't `ftp'. How can I otherwise get the sources to a PD
version of kermit?
