osborn@cs.utexas.edu (John Howard Osborn) (01/18/91)

What is the latest word on NeXTworld magazine? I seem to remember that
the first issue was going to come out about this time, but I certainly
havn't seen any.

I've seen the first issue. I'm told they gave lots away at MacWorld Expo
last week. I have not been able to get my own copy yet, but I hope to
have one real soon.

In case you missed the recent posting (14 January):
>Hi,

Off a NeXTWORLD business card:

	NeXTWORLD
	501 Second Street
	San Francisco, CA 94107

	(415) 978-3182
	(415) 978-3196 (fax)

Everyone who works at NeXTWORLD has a NeXT on their desk. They are trying
hard to do a great job. The first issue is impressive and has lots of
useful info.

I am not affiliatied with NeXTWorld. Just a reader...

Overall, I thought that the ads were of more use then the articles, although
I did like one of the answers in "NeXT Question".

Q. How do I eliminate that last header and footer line in WriteNow? I've
   tried everything.
A. You haven't tried rewritting WriteNow from the source code.

I also didn't like the oversized layout of the magizine (12"x10").

I have a copy, given to me by a friend who managed to grab one at
the Macworld expo before they all got scarfed up. It's jes' fine.
There are several fairly informative articles, a nice picture or two
of the new machines, and some interesting graphic touches.

My friend John in Pittsburgh received his first copy of NeXTWorld magazine
in the mail yesterday (22 Jan) as a result of sending in that flyer
they distributed awhile back. So apparently they are "shipping". 8-)

I just got my free trial issue of NeXTworld today in the mail. I sent in a
card that I received in a packet of information about the new NeXT systems.
