Has anyone had any problems with emacs on a NeXT STation. Some operations, like find-file, perform much slower on the 040 slab. What gives? -Mike

While we're on the subject, does anyone know off the top of their heads whether/how it's possible on a Cube (OS v. 1.1) to use the alternate key as the meta key in Emacs? I've gotten tired of having to hit Escape all the time. -- -------------------------- Robert M. The Emacs front-end that can be found at nova.cc.purdue.edu uses the
alternate keys as the meta key. Unfortunately, the cursor dispears
when the front-end is used under 2.0.
