Pointers needed, please. I have a new NeXT (real nice machine), with no printer. The machine is on the campus ethernet. Down the hall from me is an Apple LaserWriter II NTX printer that is on a LocalTalk LAN, while the LocalTalk connects (I think) through a GatorBox to the ethernet. Other Unix boxes in the department print to that printer by piping ps files through lwpr. We used to have a guy who knew all about this stuff, had the right sources, and so forth. Well, now he's gone, so I'm about to take on the task. I'd like to get the most recent sources to a2ps and pstree, if I could. On the LocalTalk angle, something called cap and kip seem to be involved. What else do I need to know? Recommendations welcomed. <> Eyes see surface, not reality. -- Rumi -- Jess Anderson <> Madison Academic Computing Center <> University of Wisconsin Internet: anderson@macc.wisc.edu <-best, UUCP:{}!uwvax!macc.wisc.edu!anderson NeXTmail w/attachments: anderson@yak.macc.wisc.edu Bitnet: anderson@wiscmacc Room 3130 <> 1210 West Dayton Street / Madison WI 53706 <> Phone 608/262-5888
