[comp.sys.next] Demo program - Zilla

tinyguy@cs.mcgill.ca (Yeo-Hoon BAE) (01/27/91)

I was looking at one of the Demo program called Zilla in the
Demo directory, which is suppose to create a distributed
environment on the network of NeXTs. But I wasn't able to use
it because it required the root's password, and since these
NeXTs belong to the school, obviously, I don't have an access
to the root's password. Does anyone know why is the password
required? Is it just for the security purpose, or is it the
restrictions on the network which force the program to do this?
Also, this is the only demo program which does not come with
a source code. Is it possible to get the source code from somewhere?
I am rather serious, as this could/will be part of my project.

Thanks for any help.
