I'm looking for any available advice, hints, or rumors from owners of Datson 280Zs or VW Scirocco's. I'm interested in buying something along those lines from the 76-79 model years. I've been commuting up to Hoboken (ack!) since September and I'm looking for something RELIABLE to take me through this winter and next year. I've been making this daily trip in my Fiat Spyder till now, but it's almost gotten me killed twice for no good reason. The last thing I want to do is die trying to get to Hoboken. I'm still interested in sports cars, though, so I figured something like the Datsun should be a good bet. I'm a reasonably good mechanic, and I'm not afraid of ,doing a little work on the car I buy, but I don't wasnt it consuming my life like the Fiat.
