[comp.sys.next] strip and Objective-C files

Has anybody tried running "strip" on Objectve-C files?  Specifically, files compiled with the -g option.  I've done so and the resultant files seem to core dump when I run them....

I assume you mean the executable (I don't know if you can run strip
on .o files).  The default 'make install' for IB projects will
strip your file (via install -s, I think) after installing it.
I've also stripped many files (Stuart's pre-stripped exec
size in 2.0 is 1.5M at this time - after Stripping, 188k).
I don't know what could cause the core dumps, though.  Have
you tried to gdb the core file?
