I've read that the NeXT floppy drive can read 1.44MB disks. Is this DOS only or can it handle UNIX disks also? Cpio format for example? Thanks. Doug

Thanks to those who responded to my earlier question. I didn't make myself clear enough. What I really wanted to know was can the NeXT floppy drive read 1.44mg floppies created elsewhere. Can I jump on my unix 386 box, format a floppy, execute something like: $ find $HOME -print | cpio -ovc > /dev/floppydevice and then read it in on a NeXT? Doug
