Hello, I recently ftp'd a copy of Fonts-1.0-free off of sonata.cc.purdue.edu and installed the fonts in /LocalLibrary/Fonts using the supplied Makefile. The fonts work/look great on the screen but when I go to print something that contains one of these fonts i get an alert panel with them message: PostScript error: %%[Error: invalidfont; Offending Command: show]%% Does anyone have an idea why this is happening? or does anyone else experience this problem? Thanks, Wayne -- ============================================================================= UUCP : ukma!beech BITNET: beech@ukma DOMAIN: beech@ms.uky.edu

I de-installed a whole lot of 'em (after struggling for hours to figure out which font it was -- I am very dismayed that you can crash the window server so easily as to have a font in there (as a space) that doesn't exist any more) and it all works fine now. It might be Kallestar -- that doesn't come up on the screen very well for me. I since canned it. I'm running 2.0 ('40) on my cube, and have not had this problem. They all work fine. -Bill -- __________________Prof. William V. Well, I went looking through the fonts in Fonts-1.0-free and I discovered that there was indeed a problem with one of them on my machine: called BenjaminCaps. Could not find any problems with the others, but I did not try all possible combinations or anything like that. Just deleted this font from ~/Library/Fonts. -Bill -- __________________Prof. William V.
