A friend of mine is buying a Mercedes that has a single windshield wiper. The dealer says its better than two wipers but didn't know why. I recall seeing single wipers on Sciroccos, but unlike those this one actually has a second smaller 6" wiper down at the base. I could imagine putting it at the top where it could swing to the corners, but that's not the case here. It all seems very odd. My friend's Toyota Cressida has a shoulder belt that automatic wraps around you when you start the car. It's really nice. However, the lap belt is not automatic. This seems somewhat half-assed, although I'm sure the design is intentional. Can anyone explain why they did it like this. (As usual, the dealer can't.) Don Libes {seismo,umcp-cs}!nbs-amrf!libes
