Okay, all you NeXTsters out there with C compiler, could some of you please compile and run some of the standard benchmark programs? Yes, I know that benchmarks are not necessarily good indicators of performance, but on scalar, essentially single-user machines like the NeXT they can at least put us in the right county. For instance, running a few samll ones on a Mac IIfx running A/UX (dhyrystone ver. 2, savage, etc) told me that this thing was (picture a capital s in mile high type) Slow.
