I have user with a new nextstation at home. He wants to use a modem and SLIP to communicate to the internet and to take advantage of resources on campus. Can someone give a step by step account of how to go about this? Any help would be appreciated. Thanx, Dave Rocks New Mexico State University rocks@nmsu.edu

I could only come up with two sources for SLIP on the next. One is a file called dialup2.0.tar.Z at bbn.com(ftp'able) that appears to be a standard unix implementation with source and some documentation. The other is a file pub/slip/SLIP2.0.tar.Z that may be a NeXT implementation of the first, but there is no documentation. I have not yet tried to get either to work. The second is located on 129.18.18.3, which apparently does not allow reading the directory. Just CD to the right place and GET.
