Hi, Today I have deleted fstab accidently and the system won't boot normally. In fact, what I have done is creating a new fstab and renameing it to fstab.new but forgetting to rename old fstab back. So fstab is missing and the computer can no longer function. When I boot it into single user mode, the file system becomes read-only and there is no way I can rename my old fstab back. There seems no way to get it to work and I don't really want to rebuild the harddisk just because I miss one file. Did anyone know how can you put the file system back to read-write or how can you let the boot process use different fstab file? Thanx for any help! -- chin@sg1.chem.upenn.edu
