I have also tried a SCSI tape drive on the NeXT. It's a Archive 2150, the kind used on Suns. It finds the drive when booting, but then when I try to access it I gets a I/O errors. I didn't mess around with it too much, since the drive was a loaner and I had to return it. Why don't we start a list of all the 'supported' SCSI devices that we try to hook up on the NeXT. We can also include SCSI disk drives. Here is a list of things that I have tried: Type NeXT 1.0 NeXT2.0 '030 '040 Exabyte 8200 tape yes yes? ??? Fujitsu 226[13]SA disk yes yes ??? Maxtor LXT207S disk yes yes ??? Teac 155 tape no no ??? Teac FD235JS floppy yes b) yes a) ??? Notes: a) needs a program to initialize the drive properly b) only with special program that use /dev/sg0 Maybe we can put it on one of the archive sites. and have someone update it occasionally. -ingo -- /* Ingo Cyliax ECN, Electrical Engineering Bldg. * * cyliax@ecn.purdue.edu Purdue University, W.
