Folks - There is a bug in WriteNow (System 2.0 version) that I came across today while writing yet-another-major-paper-without-backups (YAMPWB). I am not sure how to reproduce it, but it happened when I was trying to put a footnote citation. I dropped down to the footnote view, typed it in and then I decided to save the essay. Then I tried to popup to Page View, and Writenow thought about it for a while, then crashed.... Damn! I thought. Anyway, to make a short story short, I opened the doc. again, but it opened in the Footnote View and crashed again when I tried to put it in Page View. Fortunately, "Save as" was still an option. I Saved As... RTF and then opened the RTF file. That file was OK and I won't get an 'F' tomorrow. The moral of the story is: Make Backups and if WriteNow acts weird, save as RTF and try again. - jiro nakamura jiro@shaman.com ps.
