[comp.sys.next] Private Picture Databases with Mail

Here's the situation:

You've got a NeXT on a large network. It's pretty much a public machine,
and gets used by about 30 different people. Each of them would like to
have icons associated with people on that and other machines. Can something
like a $HOME/Library/Images/People be set up to be used by mail?

I know that mail aliases and lists can be done, but they are just stored
in a .mailalias file, and there doesn't appear to be an option for storing
icons for these accounts. Surely there's got to be an easy way to do this,
or there should be. There must be other situations with clusters of
NeXT machines for student use with people wanting to do exactly this.

You want to keep the TIFF pictures in one place and export that directory
to all your NeXT machines. This way, everyone has access to the images.
