HELP, I have a '69 bug. The horn, gas guage, and signal direction no longer worked. They stopped after I heard a popping noise from the steering wheel. I beleive the problem is in the electrical portion of the ignition switch. According the the shop manual, one must remove the steering wheel to get the the switch. New switch is 20$. So I removed wheel to get to switch. Manual then said to "fold out" the direction signal switch. Heres the problem, there wasn't enough slack in the cable to pull out the switch. The next problem is that these little little parts fell out of the directional switch. Question, whats the easiest way to remove directional switch, can the parts be put back? Any other suggestions would be most helpful. Jonathan M. Liss homxb!4373jml
