Does anyone have patches for the Webster Server under 2.0? When I upgraded from 1.0 to 2.0, I noticed that websterd broke, but I haven't had a chance to get it straightened out yet. Has anyone already done so? Thanks, Joe St Sauver (JOE@OREGON.UOREGON.EDU or JOE@OREGON) Statistical Programmer and Consultant University of Oregon Computing Center

Without /usr/lib/libbtree.a it could be difficult. Has anyone actually tried teasing it out of NeXT Technical Support? -=EPS=-

I'm working on a 2.0 version of websterd. It really is almost ready to go. I should have something available for FTP by the end of the week. In order to compile it you'll need to ask NeXT to send you a copy of "libbtree.a" and "libtext.a". I sent a note to "ask_next@next.com" and they were happy to send me a copy of these libraries. I'll also make a compiled version available, for those of you who trust binaries that you get off the net ... The thesaurus is unfortunately broken due to bugs in the libtext.a library. I'm still looking for a way to program around it. Everything else works so far, I finally got spelling correction working again tonight. I'll post a note when it's ready. This week. I promise. A preliminary version is available via anonymous ftp from sdcsvax.ucsd.edu (132.239.51.2) in pub/next-websterd.tar.Z.
