First thanks to everyone that has sent me mail to help me get this thing working. I finally figured out how to write disktab entries with no problem, it is logical but not intuitive. So I have the WREN III up and running under 1.0a (waiting for 2.0 on order). Now the problem I have is that I do a build on the disk and it doesn't take the length of time that it should. The result of this is that now the machine wants to run my 170Mb WREN as a huge swap device. ;-( Now my question is how do I get this drive to act as a boot device????? I don't need 170Mb of swap space. I can run all the utilities on this disk disk, etc. but I can't get a file system written to the drive. What I think I'll try is modifying one of the scripts that come with 1.0a (sd200app or sd200dev). This sould work. If anyone has any good ideas please, please let me know. I would love to get this up and running. What I want is to put my applications on the WREN, boot from it and use the optical for data (man pages, Websters, etc.) Also while booting my machine my optical died. I kept getting ECC errors on the disk all at the same block and the panic> prompt came up. I picked up a new optical disk from B'Land this morniing and I'll try booting the machine with it. If it doesn't boot with the new disk then back to B'land for another cube or OD.
