My sister is looking for a one to two year old used car. She's not rich, and would like something domestic, with four doors, and a hatchback. She's been considering the Ford Escort. Would anyone out there care to make recommendations about the Escort or any other car? Basically, she's looking for economic reliable transportation, so please, no recommendations for sports cars or exotic European imports (i.e. BMWs etc.). By the way, her old car is a 1973 Mercury Comet. It still runs well, and the body is in good shape, but has lots of little things going wrong all the time.
