Canada. It was designed for the MAC but it works fine on my 040 NeXTstation. The price was $129.00 canadian. It has an 8-pin rs-422 connector on one end and 1 midi in - 3 midi out connectors on the other end. I've used it with the Ensemble demo program that comes with the 2.0 extended software, and it works fine. The Altech interface is black and sort of squid shaped (no?)
