I don't read this notesfile normally, so if possible, please mail me any
responses.
My father has purchased a 1951 Mersades 170-D for which he needs a few parts,
i.e., hubcaps, bumpers, and a carburetor. If anyone knows where he can obtain
these parts, new or used, please let me know.

Does anyone out there know what a "Mersades" is?

I think that it's a Mercedes that has been modified (as with AMG models), but
by an obscure French company. No repainting or performance mods, just some
rather strange leather and rubber products installed in the interior and
trunk (!). Like AMG's, but in a rather different sense, they are for
hard core enthusiasts . Unlike AMG's, however, these modifications violate
the Mercedes warranty (among other things).

I should think it would be obvious -- it's what the people from up
North drive when they come down South, suh...
