[comp.sys.next] New/Old Cube Arrives

anderson@macc.wisc.edu (Jess Anderson) (03/05/91)

BusinessLand came through. Less than three weeks after
ordering my 030 Cube with OD abd 330MB HD, it arrived today.
Looks to be completely perfect, not a ding on it anywhere
(the boxes were kind of grungy, and the one with the monitor
in it had clearly been upside down, since the styrofoam in
there was sort of fractured). Fired right up, no problem
whatever, though since I have an 040/2.0 cube at work, I was
at first startled by how much slower it is.

Next, to upgrade to 2.0 (that being the only thing I'd known
heretofore, 1.0a looks rather odd), then to 040. Fortunately,
these upgrades are available where I work for good prices.

What I really need is an ethernet connection from the campus
to my house. With a lot of luck, this could actually happen
(oh baby!).
