- a short old joke here - A man was watching a carpenter working, and noticed that the carpenter threw away half of the nails he took out of his pouch. So he asked the carpenter why he was throwing half of the nails away. The carpenter replied that the heads were on the wrong end. Improv is shipped on 1.44 Meg disks that are labeled HD (for high density). If you get a disk labeled with a CH, throw it away. :-) Learning IB - I am having some success with IB now, but it was a little painful. The NeXT Book isn't a bad place to start. It is for .9 of the OS, but it does help. A CC also gave me a copy of a book that is in progress. Unfortunately, I don't know if I can redistibute it at this time. I will try to find out. Posting to this group has also been very helpful. I don't always send a thank you to people who answer my questions, so I would just like to gloabally say thanks at this time. (Scott Hess goes out of his way to be helpful. Special thanks to Scott.) Andrew Zimmerman zimmer@calvin.stanford.edu

IB really screams out for a book. It is the single greatest program on the NeXT, but it does still take quite a bit of hacking about to figure out what's going on. With a decent tutorial or book the number of apps for the NeXT could greatly increase. Glad to hear one's in progress. Probably come out just as I figure out what's going on :-( Don McGregor | "When transporting a monkey, don't let him take mcgredo@prism.cs.orst.edu| the wheel no matter how much he screeches."
