I wonder if this is a Librarian/indexer bug in 2.0. I was trying to create an index for directory "comp.sys.next". It goes through the motion, but index goes into my home dir and consequently Librarian cannot find it. The index itself seems to be bad, because copying ".index" into the folder doesn't give you correct search results. While it is going through the motion, the index panel doesn't show the current file being indexed. Also, a tiny icon area to the left of the filename area gets screwed up too. Simply renaming "comp.sys.next" to "comp_sys_next" fixed the problem. I don't know if this is a known problem, but I thought I might save some of you from frustrations by posting it.
