I have already bought an A-Hive and a 105MB Conner from Tulin. I can't say much for their service but the products are good enough. I've received a spec sheet for the SCSI floppy, there's 2 models: A) 2 MB (1.44) floppy, $229.- (Teac) B) 4 MB (2.88) floppy, $259.- (Teac) Both modells are downward compatible, slimline cases, available in beige or black (!). "B" is the same model as "cyliax" has successfully installed on his NeXT - look for his recent posting on compatible SCSI devices. You need a driver, which he has generously made publicly available via ftp. Either Tulin has suddenly changed their prices or you got the wrong quote - I have a price list not more than 1 month old, and I verified the price with them last week. If anyone is interested in cases they have the A-Hive, houses 2 half height devices, includes a 60w power supply, fan, scsi ID switch, etc. They can be ordered alone or with pre configured drives, and cost $169.- (much cheaper than PMHDE...) HOWEVER --- They are *NOT* available in black :-(, nor are they particularly aesthetic. They are rugged. So for about $430.- you can get a SCSI floppy in an enclosure with room for a hard disk/tape backup/etc later for less than the price of a PLI super floppy. DISCLAIMER - I don't have all the info in front of me - this is "off the top of my head" so verify with the respective parties before buying. I don't remember who cyliax is - I imagine most in this group know anyway. I do not work for Tulin (nor do I like their salespeople), and i am not affiliated with any of the products mentioned in any way other than as a customer. -- Thor-Lee Legvold | ppstl@nobergen.earn (or .bitnet) University of Bergen | ppstl@cc.uib.no NORWAY | and now on NeXT...
