[comp.sys.next] Help, can't boot - NIS domain incorrrectly specified!

earhard@ug.cs.dal.ca (Mark Earhard) (03/16/91)

While setting up the NetAdmin parameters, I've incorrectly entered an NIS
domain name. Now it hangs up on boot looking for the domain in yp. I need to
remove the NIS domain specification. (What I wanted to enter was a DNS domain
name).

How do I boot the system in single user mode (or otherwise bypass the
normal boot procedure)?

What files do I edit and what do I change to undo the NIS domain name entry.
(I assume I won't be so fortunate as to be able to run the NetAdmin
application to make the change).

Thanks!!!!
Chris Wright
