[comp.sys.next] PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE!

Isn't there someway to take a cue from the mac and amiga people and
start breaking this newsgroup into some pieces PLEASE!. The traffic is
getting quite heavy and I for one would appreciate some splitting of
general/programming/software-dist/hardware type topics, or SOME kind of
splitting anyway. What would it take to do this?

There is no more surefire way to double the traffic on a newsgroup than
to suggest splitting it. I wish that the instant someone mentions
splitting, that there would be a *.split newsgroup created for those
discussions. Even using "k" doesn't help much, since nearly all the
messages have different subject lines (I'm still putting up with this
after *months* of such messages on comp.sys.handhelds).

Oh well, as Kirk said, "Here it comes ..."
