Hello! I just got off of the phone with NeXT's 800 number (1-800-848-6398) regarding some questions I had about the OS 2.1 upgrade. When I inquired about the possibility of obtaining the upgrade via anonymous ftp, the NeXT representative said that they have no plans to do this at this time, however, they said that they would make a note of my interest. When I then asked if this was the proper way to express my interest in changing their policy, she said that it was. If you are interested in this method of distribution, call NeXT and tell them so! There are other companies which provide this service via ftp, so why not NeXT? (As an example, Apple's latest A/UX upgrade is available via ftp, and it is approximately 10Mbytes in size.) The upgrade is useless without version 2.0 of the OS, so there should be no licensing problems either. I urge all people interested to call NeXT and POLITELY let them know that you would like to see the upgrades made available via anonymous ftp! Rory Bolt rory@fps.com or AppleLink D3119
