I got just today a cube I ordered from Businessland. However the MegaPixel Display is backordered. I'd like to configure the machine though and thought I could attach it to the net until the Monitor arrives. BUT: How do I turn the machine on? Did any of these people that tried to make switches that are attached to the megapixel port succeed? How can this be done? (Well, I've seen the pages in the User Reference with the pin-out of this port, but that does not help very much...) If this does not work, I thought, I could use at least the board inside one of the other cubes we have. But then again, the board hangs while net-booting if it is not in slot0 of the NeXTbus. Is there a way to modify the kernel, such that this does not happen? (No, there is no NBIC chip on the board...) Did anyone that decided to keep the old 030 board in addition to the 040 get this to work?
