  That was me. I just got a message from someone asking me how many times
the HD in my NeXT has crashed, they're worried about performance and
stability and all that.
  Oops. I didn't mean my NeXT HD had crashed--I was speaking in general.
(Actually, it was a 2-yr old Rodime in a Mac II that I'd abused in various
ways--altering System file without saving, etc etc). So "don't panic." I'm
just being paranoid after a very nasty accident that happened once.

  And make that 2.1 in the above request. I want the latest.

PS: Rodime made a good drive in that 140M internal. That was no slam.
