I just wanted to inform everybody that NeXTConnection has service that is
FASSSSSSSST. I ordered Diagram on Wednesday. I got home yseterday
(Thursday) and it was there. They use next day express. I thought that
getting within the week would be fast but next day is great. Anyway I'm
all hyped about having Diagram. Now I need my 2.1 upgrade. If NeXT was
that fast I would really be a "happy camper."
For those who are interested my order for a 2.0 and '040 upgrade was made
on Feb. 12. So it's been about 6 weeks. Patience was never one of my
better qualities.
I also ordered the 2.0 Tech documentation last week. The price at
San Jose State University is $112. The price at Computer Attic was $139.
bet you can guess where I ordered mine from.
BTW - When is someone going to write a GOOD book, or any book for that
matter on programming with IB. I'm lost with the on line stuff, can't
do a thing with it. That's why I ordered the Tech docs.
Anyway, a whole lot of good online documentation is going to do when the
machine just puked and you can't get it up and running. A catch 22. You
can't get the machine up and running, but you need the machine up and
running to see how to get it up and running.
My advise is: Spent the $110 or so to save yourself some grief.
I'm now back to drumming my fingers since the software and hardware that
I want to use needs 2.0.
