[comp.sys.next] scynchronous scsi on the next

ph600fbj@sdcc14.ucsd.edu (james dehnert) (04/01/91)

First of all, thanks to those who have replied to my inital post.

Unfortunatley the replies I got don't tell me what I was hoping to
find out, so I'll be more to the point.

  1) I know the next supports a scynchronous scsi, but is there
anything I need to tell the computer before I go sync? ( such as in
the disktab file or such)

  2) As far as my drive is concerned, can I just replace the 1
jumper and re-install? (I have the Fujitsu M2266)

  3) Will I have to reformat the drive after going sync?

My inclination is to just put the jumper back on and reboot, but
that scares me to DEATH.
My drive has been running flawlessly under 1.0 in non-sync mode and
is now under 2.0 in non-sync. Any help would be, ..just swell!!

	Thanks for indulging me,
				Zeke
