Does anyone know where the tiff files are stored for the
home,machine,folder and file icons ?
they're in Workspace. for example, try
segedit /usr/lib/NextStep/Workspace.app/Workspace -extract __TIFF net.tiff /tmp/net.tiff
to pull out the nifty globe icon. otool -l will help you track them down...
