[comp.sys.next] "Large Filesystem" Option in Prefs

das15@cunixa.cc.columbia.edu (Douglas A Scott) (04/05/91)

Could someone tell me what the "Large Filesystem" option in the Expert
section of the Preferences does (OS 2.0)? I cannot find any reference to the
Preferences App ***anywhere*** in the online documentation! Thanks.

Did you try... the offline documentation?

Large File System specifies that the Workspace should use a
"lazy" (or, more likely, "very-lazy") Browser delegate. This
means that you won't have to wait as long when you visit a large
directory... but scrolling may be jerky.
