I just got a card in the mail from NeXT that says the following: "We've reserved a PLI SuperFloppy 2.8 disk drive for you--the perfect complement to your new NeXT computer. Free. It's our way of saying thanks, and welcoming you to the NeXT Generation. "The Peripheral Land Inc. SuperFloppy 2.8 lets you store up to 2.88 mejabytes of information on a single floppy disk, and works with any *NeXT computer. SuperFloppy 2.8 is fully compatible with 720KB and 1.44MB floppy disks from MS-DOS, OS/2, and UNIX based computers. "Call NeXT Connection at 1-800-800-NeXT. Provide the operator with your personal reservation code: [code deleted]. "*Intended for use with your 68040 upgrade." It looks like they're ready to ship floppy drives to cube owners who ordered the '040 upgrade. Very nice. And a nice gesture to have NeXTconnection ship it (they ship things in a hurry). I presume that lots of other people got one of these cards, too. -- Glenn Reid RightBrain Software glenn@heaven.woodside.ca.us NeXT/PostScript developers ..{adobe,next}!heaven!glenn 415-851-1785 (fax 851-1470)
