I just received SoftPC today! I immediately set about installation procedures. Not having a floppy drive, I turned to my IBM AT which is on a LAN with my Cube. SoftPC is shipped on two 1.44meg IBM format disks. No problem, I thought. Well, I copied the contents of both disks to my shared NeXT hard drive partition. Guess what! The SoftPC manual says that you should install from the floppies directly. Hmm... If I try to run the Installer on the hard drive files, it crashes. I tried to manually install the files from the shell, but that dies when you run SoftPC. Is there anyone on here from Insignia Solutions? I'd like to talk to someone who can tell me how to do this... Thanks~ -- MikeC _________________________________________________________ Michael D. Callaghan, MDC Designs, University of Maryland mikec@wam.umd.edu
