Yesterday I picked up a copy of USL's price list for the Next machines. I was a bit surprised to find that a Nextstation (8/105) system would cost a total of $4295.70 not including tax. The station itself is $3246.50, $855.70 for the monitor, and an additional $193.50 for the keyboard, mouse, power cord, etc (come on, even Apple gives you a power cord ;-). This really isn't that much of a discount IMHO. Is this about what you would pay at other universities for the same setup or are we paying more at USL for some reason (I strongly suspect that we are)?
