*** REPLACE THIS LINE WITH YOUR MESSAGE *** My 1983 Mazda GLC makes a strange buzzing sound during deceleration, as well as during initial acceleration. I have'nt the faintest idea as to the source of the noise, and would appreciate any pointers. The car has approx. 35,000 miles on it, and is in good mechanical condition. Thank you in advance. I have found that this buzzing seems to be coming from the air cleaner/breather assembly. I have found that on the breather assembly (the long part that looks like the engine's nose) that there is a spring clip which holds a plastic pin in place. It seems to be in this area, as I have held this part while revving the engine and the buzzing stopped. As a test, you might try removing the air cleaner/breather assembly and driving your car around the block to see if that stops the buzz. If you eventually find out what exactly can be done to stop the buzz let me know. I didn't bother to look any further into mine when I found out it wasn't serious.
