Shortly I will take delivery of an 'Saleen Mustang' via Steve Saleen in Southern Cal. ( 213-849-1017 ). He bolsters the suspension system and frame*, adds 16X8 wheels and Fulda tires and some cosmetics like ground effects, Momo steering wheel, and a 150 mph speedometer. The engine and drivetrain is left stock except for a Hurst shifter and linkage. All this is approved by Ford so the warranty is still good. Apparently Petersen Publications got .88 Gs. with a Saleen Ford on a skid-pad where the Corvette with its' Goodyear Gatorbacks got .87. I would be happy to hear from any Ford GT owners regarding problems, modifications and any dealer service experiences. Also, anyone that wants to know more about this car is also welcome to write. Saleen also offers the parts for modifying your own Ford. * lower stiffer springs, 1.31" dia. front anti-rollbar, urethane bushings, Bilstien shocks, and an extra frame brace near the front control arms. I'm paying for all this technology, ( 14,882 $ ) but it's still below flash tin like Conquests etc.
