I have a colleague who uses the OD on his cube extensively. Ever since we upgraded his system to NS 2.0 and installed a 68040 board he has had intermittent trouble ejecting the OD. Sometimes when he tries, he gets a Workspace dialogue box that says: Cannot eject disk: Device busy Apparently the mount structure has a non-zero reference count. I have checked his environment very carefully twice now when this has happened and am reasonably sure that there are no active processes that are holding a reference to the mount point. I've looked for the obvious -- a shell whose cwd is on the OD, applications using files on the OD, etc. Of course, there are no tools at all to examine file structures of active processes, so I can't be completely sure that there are no live references to the OD. Does anyone have an clues about this problem or knowledge of similar problems that have been reported or fixed in 2.1? Vic Abell <abe@mace.cc.purdue.edu>
