Who is supposed to own the /dev/tty* ports? And what group do they belong to? Here are mine: crw-r--r-- 1 uucp wheel 11,192 Jan 31 18:03 cua crw-r--r-- 1 uucp wheel 11,193 Apr 23 17:24 cub crw-r--r-- 1 uucp wheel 11,224 Jan 31 18:03 cufa crw-r--r-- 1 uucp wheel 11,225 Jan 31 18:03 cufb root@next.mdc# dir tty* crw-rw-rw- 1 root wheel 2, 0 Jan 31 18:03 tty crw-rw-rw- 1 root wheel 11, 0 Apr 23 17:26 ttya crw-rw-rw- 1 root wheel 11, 1 Feb 14 23:08 ttyb etc, etc... Is that correct? And what about Kermit? what should its permissions and ownership look like? I know this is absolutely a FAQ, so please forgive me...
