Hiya - I just phoned the person responsible for academic pricing in the NorthEast (Joann Lawson (sp?), 408-954-3974) and ordered my copy of FrameMaker. The academic deal apparently is: For $495 they will ship you 2.1 right now on floppies. Then in Fall '91, then will ship you for free 3.0. Like she said "We don't want to keep you waiting." I didn't ask about upgrades or group purchases. Does anyone know any good books about FrameMaker? I checked all the local bookstores and they have *zilch* about it. Seems like it doesn't even exist.
