[comp.sys.next] A question no one can answer, but...

Well, after using these machine now for a while, I've come to the decision that
I'm going to purchase a NeXT. Of course, the big questions is what NeXT to
buy?

Being a student, the educational price of a Slab is very attractive. Right
now, I'm looking at a NeXTstation Color.

My main question to you is this: how well do the Slabs function as
standalones? I realize in terms of performance, there's no real problem, but
what I don't want is to be stuck with something I can go places with at a later
date. The cube can go places, the slab can't. I realize that I should be
asking myself "does the slab do what you need a computer to do?" and the
answer is "Yes!" but the other question is "will the slab still be able
to do what I want it to two years from now?" That's a good question...

Anyway-- just soliciting opinions... thanks...
