I am looking for a system on which I can develop X-windows software and the NeXT with a NeXTdimension board caught my eye. I have the following questions: What flavors of X11R4 are available for the NeXT and what is their quality? How do the C and C++ compilers that come with the NeXT compare to the ones available on other systems (like the ones listed below) ? Finally, how does the NeXT compare to "comparable" models from Silicon Graphics or Sun? ie. SGI 4D/20TG or 4D/25TG "Personal Iris" or Sun Sparc Please email any information because comp.sys.next has too much volume for me to read through.
