Well, I got some good answers for most of my questions. The common response was that a quick trip through 'atom' will allow most Sun binaries to run on me slab. Special thanks to the following: Doug DeJulio - ddj@zardoz.club.cc.cmu.edu Fredrik Nyman - ice@wang.com Marcel - marcel%mlogic.uucp@usc.edu But this brings up another little point. Now, I've browsed through TFM, but I'm looking for more gut reactions anyway. Is it going to be any big deal to just throw my slab willy nilly onto a simple network with a my friends Sun (in order to expedite getting said binaries), and then callously yanking it back off and carting the thing home? I know that if I just fire the thing up with an ethernet cable plugged into it, that it will try an configure itself, but what do I need to be aware of when I cut it off from etheral bliss? Heck, this may even be a common occurence. Thanks for your patience, Will (uunet!la4gen!villy)
